Birthday Banners

When Charlotte turned 1 we had a big bash. I'll be honest... it was really a party for me (I love to throw parties and this was the perfect excuse)! We had a rubber duckie themed party in the backyard (a pond and ducks too) and some of Charlotte's pals and a bunch of family and friends. It was fun. I wanted a special banner to go with the theme and colors of the invitations that I made. I made it nice and big so it could stretch across the backyard. We used the colors pool and curry from Paper Source (one of my favorite places)!
The banner turned out great but it was hard to photograph because it was SO BIG!
A month after Charlotte turned 1, Jessalyn had a big 2nd Birthday Bash. It was a combo costume Birthday Party (she was born on October 31st). I volunteered my services and made her a Birthday Banner. It too, was huge and it hung across Eric & Darcy's entire family room/kitchen. I tried to snap a picture in our house for my files but it was impossible!A month later... Sheldon turned THREE! Charlotte and I were so excited to travel to Santa Barbara/Goleta to see Claudia and Shel that we offered to make another banner! I think this one was the most fun because Sheldon wanted a big "train with no face" party! He got a banner with a train with no face!

So quite a few months have gone by and I've been busy doing real work... hydrology, water resources planning... things that pay the bills! But our good friend Mia is turning TWO on Friday! Guess what I've been working on (nope, not hydrology).

Yep, you guessed it... a very special birthday banner! I'll post pictures later but this is my favorite creation to date. They keep getting better. Mia is a lucky gal! We feel so lucky to know Mia!
