Melanie, Bret and Claire were here this afternoon for lunch and some play time. Claire is Charlotte's first cousin once removed. Charlotte is actually Melanie's cousin (Claire's Mom) and Melanie is Bob's niece (my niece too, actually). It is strange having a niece who is only five years younger than you... but so wonderful having such great family and relatives that the age differences are simply something to baffle and confuse people with.
Claire and Charlotte (affectionately referred to as Charlie, by Claire) are four weeks apart. Claire was born first. It is really funny seeing them together. I am pretty sure nobody expected these two would both be beautiful red heads! It will be so fun watching them grow, and watching their hair grow, too!!! Here are a couple cute shots from today... playing in the garden (rocks), eating lunch and reading books.
