Vegas, Baby!

My parents were awesome enough to watch Charlotte for a few days and Bob and I escaped to Vegas for a little fun. We tried a hotel we've never stayed at before... the Wynn. It was awesome. A little pricey, for sure but dang the room service was amazing. The bed was comfortable, the picture window overlooking the strip was amazing, the flat screen TV, the artwork, the toiletries, etc. I was impressed. HUGE bathroom. It is so fun getting ready to go out in a huge bathroom.

The highlights of the weekend were shopping at Nordstrom and taking a bunch of size Large's into the dressing room only to have to replace all of them with size Medium. The sales lady said to me, "Face it, you are not a size Large!!!" I always have a great shopping experience in Vegas but this won took the cake! Perhaps my hard work at the gym really is paying off!!!

We had a great horse racing weekend and while Big Brown didn't win the Triple Crown (Bob knew he wouldn't... but the anticipation was awesome in the Race and Sports Book) we had fun and picked a couple good winners in other races.



I had the big pay-day and hit a jackpot on dollar slots. Three "7"s and it was the progressive style of slot machine so I won the big number at the top. WOW! I couldn't believe it. I was just saying earlier in the day, "Who wins these things anyway?? Winning feels good... especially when it is by sheer random LUCK!

We enjoyed delicious mojitos at the Parasol Down bar at the Wynn. These were taken post-Belmont Stakes, Post Slot Machine Crush... so we were feeling pretty happy!!!
