Beach Bound

We're going to Del Mar for a few days on Thursday. I'm pretty excited. We went last year around the same time and are hoping to make it an annual tradition. We'll be there for Arlington Million weekend. That is a big horse race in Chicago (on the turf with horses shipped in from Europe, etc). Bob loves his turf races. Of course it doesn't make sense why being in Del Mar on a big horse racing weekend in Chicago is significant but it is... and I can't really explain why. Saturdays at Del Mar there are pony rides, etc. on the infield. We've been looking at last year's pictures and I think Charlotte is pretty jazzed about vacation. So jazzed that when I said, "Charlotte do you want to go on vacation?" She said, "Nope, Nana's house." So I told her yes, Nana's house is really awesome but vacation will be fun too. I'm pretty sure she's too young to enjoy countless hours digging in the sand while mommy body surfs and swims in the ocean but here's hoping.

Oh, and we bought a new camera! It arrives today. I'm sensing an increasingly annoying amount of photos to be shared very soon!
