A fun weekend

We had a great weekend! First of all, the weather was AWESOME! 4th of July was celebrated in style with the annual East Sacramento Parade. We decorated the wagon and pulled Mini-Liberty in the parade. Well, that was the plan but about 1/4 way though she said, "CHARLOTTE OUT!" That was followed by "CHARLOTTE PUSH!!!" We quickly learned push meant "pull" and Charlotte actually pulled the darn wagon for the rest of the parade. We were amazed at her determination and strength. She pulled the wagon the rest of the way home. We're estimating over 1/2 mile of pulling that Radio Flyer. What a girl.

She took a power nap and we were off to the airport for a visit to Grandma's house. Charlotte's first trip to Grandma's house. We saw everyone. Aunt Patsy, Uncle Jack, Kristin, Kami, Aunt Eileen, Uncle Mark, Uncle Michael. Charlotte figured out who everyone was immediately and was even saying their names within minutes. Where did this little talker come from?
We took our first Disney adventure, too. Disneyland is 10 miles from Bob's mother's house so we all went to brunch at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. A HUGE Mickey greeted us as we pulled into the hotel and we saw a few characters during breakfast. Seriously, Charlotte LOVED it! I wasn't sure what she'd think of the whole thing.
She thought ALL of her relatives were the coolest people in the world, thought Grandma's house was paradise (it is, actually) and thought Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and the others were the BEST! It was good to know breakfast at Goofy's kitchen is as much Disney as Charlotte can handle right now. I don't think she'll be ready for the actual Disneyland for quite some time.
I'm kind of itching to go back though... I never thought I'd feel that way about Disneyland. I guess it is a sign that I'm changing. Hopefully in a good way.
