Paula and Larry were married on Saturday in Menlo Park, CA. What a beautiful part of California. I felt a little under-gunned all weekend, what, with only one iPhone, one digital camera, and one laptop. Everyone there is "wired" so to speak. Geeks. Computer nerds. We are cavemen by comparison in Sacramento.
I managed to snap a few photos and had a great time hanging with friends who I do not see enough! Paula and Larry are perhaps the cutest couple in the whole world and I can't be more excited to hear about their married adventures in Chicago. I hope we can visit them soon.
After the wedding we stopped in Vacaville for a surprise 60th Birthday Party for someone Bob works with and has known a long time. Dorothy's party was great. The highlight of the party for Charlotte was the pony they had at the house. She was pretty overwhelmed by the koi pond, the chickens, the doggy, and then she saw the pony. Jessica and I showed Charlotte how you feed hay to the pony and she followed our lead and held her little hand full of hay right up to the pony's mouth. Amazing that she loves creatures big and small and isn't the least bit afraid.
I'd like to take credit for encouraging her to try new things and not be afraid but I think the real reason she's such a brave, stellar gal is because she has her daddy's genes. I'm pretty sure that when I was two there was no way I would ever even go near a pony.
