Charlotte had her first haircut today. In a fancy salon, no-less! She was amazing during the experience. She told the woman when her hair gets a little longer she might like to try some layers, or even an a-line bob. The girl has style.
We've been enjoying this time with Charlotte before her baby sister arrives. Earlier in the week we took advantage of the wind and flew a kite for the first time. I never knew flying a kite could be so fun. We used and awesome Dora kite (thanks Eric, Darcy and Jessalyn) and gave it a whirl in front of the house. Between trees, cars, sidewalks and streets we decided we'd try again the following day. We also picked up a kite that was a little stronger (Dora didn't last that long) and headed to a nearby park that didn't have trees. The wind didn't cooperate as well but we sure had fun running around with it and chasing each other.
Tuesday is the big day for baby sister. May 5th. I have a scheduled c-section due to the breech position of the baby. We have a whole plan for the day that involves family, friends, an awesome babysitter, etc. I am sure it will all go great but we're all a little anxious around here. Been stocking up on groceries, toilet paper, diapers, wine, beer... you'd think we'll never leave the house again! But at least we'll have nice beverages and snacks to offer if people want to stop by and visit (hint, hint)...
